Egypt, the birthplace of our association and Sister Emmanuelle’s commitment, faces significant social and economic challenges, particularly for its youth and vulnerable children. With a rapidly growing young population, many face obstacles to developing their potential and accessing opportunities.

Through our projects, we aim to unlock this potential, defend the rights of vulnerable children, and offer solutions for the autonomy and inclusion of young people with disabilities, particularly in the field of employment.

Our Projects

Cap Jeunesse

Egyptian youth unlock their potential

Cap Jeunesse aims to improve the quality of inclusive education, as well as the social and professional integration and support of young Egyptians in Cairo.

The goal is to help these young people plan their professional futures and advocate for their rights. With the help of its partners, Asmae trains education and teaching professionals in inclusive pedagogy and implements policies to protect children who are victims of exclusion. The creation of a Youth Leaders Committee tasked with mobilizing the community around the rights of people with disabilities is also planned.

Beneficiaries: education and teaching professionals, young people aged 12 to 22, with a particular focus on young people with disabilities

PEACE: Protecting Children Affected by Conflict or Exclusion

Vulnerable children as agents of their own rights and well-being

The PEACE program: Protecting Children Affected by Conflict or Exclusion aims to strengthen social services and protection mechanisms for marginalized children living in the scrap-collecting neighborhoods of Manshiet Nasr, Ezzbet el Nakhl, and El Marg. The initiative targets children, teachers, school administrators, their families, and the surrounding community. Training on child protection and workshops to raise awareness of children’s rights are conducted with communities, children, and adolescents.

Beneficiaries: children/youth aged 6 to 17 and their parents, teachers, educators, management staff of the partner NGO, community leaders, and 2 schools.
