EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

Children’s rights involve children and adults alike. Educational institutions must therefore create a favourable environment for all children to be able to enjoy their rights.

YALLA! FOR CHILDREN’S RIGHTS

Asmae has supported the “Yalla! For Children’s Rights” project since 2014. This is an Education for Citizenship and International Solidarity programme (ECIS) that seeks to make children, young people and adults aware of and involved in children’s rights.

The objective is to develop the students’ critical thinking and make them aware of the fact we all have a role to play in society, even as children.

Our team is made up of a project officer and young civic service volunteers. We travel throughout France all year round to provide children and young people with the keys to understanding their rights, to become aware of the world’s inequalities in the enforcement of these rights and to also become solidarity agents themselves.

Every November, we organise the Yalla Tour with additional projects.

CHILDREN’S RIGHTS AT SCHOOL

In keeping with the “Yalla! For Children’s Rights” project, the free digital education platform, “Children’s Rights At School”, was created for children aged 8 to 12.

WHY TURN TO OUR TEAM?

  • This is a project by and for young people fully enrolled in the school system;
  • The activities are free;
  • The sessions can be in various forms and be adapted for all ages;
    • Fun workshops
    • Interactive conferences
    • Children’s rights Escape Game
  • Our workshops seek to encourage young people’s desire to get involved and make them understand their power to act. We offer to assist them in coming together to undertake a collectively chosen and designed act of solidarity: children’s rights day, charity runs and fundraising activities.

OUR SUPPORTERS

“Congratulations on your involvement in our societies – we need education so much! Thank you for being with us humble teachers. We desperately need to not feel alone with our ideas and our work with adolescents”

“Knowledge is a strong lever for action. We cannot fight for things of which we have no knowledge or awareness. Educating children in these rights means educating future rights ambassadors and activists.”
